Using the service: protect your access key, submit only content you are entitled to process, respect service limits, and review model output before relying on it.
1. Agreement and scope
These terms apply to the public website, chat interface, and text inference API operated under the name Unassuming AI at unassuming.ai. “We” means the operator of this service; “you” means the person or organization using it.
By using the service, you agree to these terms. You must be at least 18 and able to enter into a binding agreement. If you use the service for an organization, you must be authorized to act for that organization. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
A separately agreed written service arrangement may contain additional terms and takes precedence where it expressly conflicts with these terms. Access through a third-party platform is also subject to that platform’s applicable terms.
2. API access and credentials
Inference and chat requests require a valid access key. You are responsible for protecting credentials issued to you and for the use you authorize under them. Do not publish access keys or attempt to use credentials issued to another person without permission.
Contact us if you believe an access key has been exposed or used without authorization. We may revoke or replace keys to protect the service. Request size, context length, model availability, and concurrency limits apply; inspect the model feed and API responses for the current capabilities and limits.
3. Acceptable use
You must use the service in accordance with applicable law and respect the rights of others. In particular, you must not:
- Submit or distribute content you are not authorized to process, including unlawful personal-data disclosures or material that infringes another party’s rights.
- Use the service to facilitate fraud, unlawful exploitation, or other illegal activity.
- Compromise or attempt to compromise the service, steal credentials, disrupt availability, or intentionally bypass authentication or enforced service limits.
- Present generated content as a verified statement by another person or use it for unlawful impersonation.
Report a suspected vulnerability privately using the contact address below, and avoid accessing or exposing other users’ data.
4. Inputs, outputs, and model rights
You retain any rights you hold in the inputs you submit. You authorize us to process those inputs as needed to operate the service and return requested outputs, subject to our privacy policy. This authorization does not permit using your API content to train or fine-tune models.
We do not claim ownership of your inputs or assign to ourselves rights in generated outputs. Your ability to use an output depends on applicable law, any relevant underlying model licence, and third-party rights. Outputs may not be unique and may resemble content generated for other users.
The underlying models, software, names, and trademarks remain subject to their respective owners’ rights and licences. Use of a model through our API does not transfer ownership of that model or our inference engine.
5. Model output and limitations
Generated responses can contain inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, biased, or inappropriate information. You are responsible for evaluating outputs and deciding whether they are suitable for your intended use. Do not treat model output as a substitute for qualified professional advice or independent verification in situations that could materially affect someone’s health, rights, safety, or finances.
Supported features are those implemented and declared by the endpoint. Our current inference API serves text; availability of a feature in an underlying model does not mean that feature is supported by this service.
6. Pricing, payment, and availability
Any paid access is governed by the pricing and payment arrangement disclosed to you before that access is enabled, or by the third-party platform through which you purchase inference. This website alone does not create a prepaid balance, subscription, or payment obligation.
Where you purchase through a platform, its billing, credits, and refund procedures apply to that purchase, subject to applicable law. For direct arrangements, the agreed order or written terms specify the relevant pricing and payment rules.
The service is provided on an “as available” basis. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, a particular response time, or a service-level agreement unless separately agreed in writing. We may maintain or update the service and its supported models, and technical limits may change.
7. Privacy and data handling
Our privacy policy explains how inference content, operational metadata, and browser-local chat data are handled. We may retain submitted requests to reproduce, diagnose, and fix bugs; we do not use requests or completions for model training or fine-tuning. You are responsible for obtaining any permissions needed to submit data to the service and for meeting the obligations that apply to your use.
The public endpoint does not include a contractual country-specific data-residency commitment. Contact us before use if your integration requires a particular processing location or a separate data-processing agreement.
8. Suspension, termination, and changes
We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to address a material breach of these terms, protect the service, prevent abuse, comply with legal obligations, or address unpaid amounts under an applicable paid arrangement. We will provide notice when reasonably practicable and when doing so would not undermine security or legal obligations.
You may stop using the service at any time. Ending use does not remove payment obligations already incurred under an agreed paid arrangement or rights that have already arisen.
We may update these terms by publishing a revised version and effective date. Material changes will be communicated through this website and, where appropriate, an available account or platform channel before they take effect. If you do not agree to revised terms, stop using the service.
9. Responsibility and applicable rights
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided without warranties about the accuracy of outputs, uninterrupted operation, or suitability for a particular purpose. You remain responsible for your applications, your interpretation and use of outputs, and the downstream decisions you make.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability, consumer protections, or other rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Any additional allocation of responsibility for a paid or business deployment must be set out in the applicable written agreement.
10. Contact
For service questions, API access, billing questions about a direct arrangement, or concerns about these terms, contact the operator of Unassuming AI at contact@unassuming.ai.
Privacy requests are also accepted at that address. Please do not include access keys in your message.
